1918 Stieff lid with a Heisey Pressed Glass Candy Jar


Jar is 8 & 5/8th inches tall plus a 3 inch lid



Early Stieff Heart Shaped Pin Cushion

Item # 402 in the 1910 Catalog



Hard to see early crown mark and detail of edge.


A second style shown here with a Stieff jar

(tags are from an auction company) Jar is from the 450 group of personal silver.


I do not know the item # of the open pierced heart pin cushion.

 

Here is a puzzling piece, from an auction site. The auction was several years ago so I was not able to get a photo of the bottom.

This is an example of an early example of Stieff’s work for Colonial Williamsburg. The CW mark received an oval border in 1950 so this dated from about 1945-1950.

#225 10 Inch trays


This set of 12, 10 inch trays had been used as plates.

Most likely as under-plates for soups or deserts

Evidence of a not very successful monogram removal. Removals rarely work well. The monogram on old silver while not desired... is better than a messy attempt to remove it. A bad removal takes away more value then leaving the monogram on the piece.
